We have not officially submitted the comment yet. Our plan is to gather as much feedback and support as possible from our members and other organizations. If you feel there is an issue that has not been addressed we can add it to the official comment.
You can submit your own comments at regulations.gov. Submissions have been extended to January 29th, 2020. Every constructive comment is a step in the right direction for U.S. hemp production.
The Illinois Stewardship Alliance just posted a great blog by Liz Rupel about the comment period being extended recently. You can read it at ilstewards.org, and keep sending in those comments! Over 1,600 already submitted!

Rachel and Liz had a great time talking with Mike and Peggy about Illinois hemp in 2019 and into 2020 and the USDA interim rules. Rachel has made plans to be on the show again soon for a hempcrete demonstration.

The Illinois Specialty Crop Conference is this week! Rachel will be doing two presentations at the pre-conference on January 8th, 2020, at 1:00PM and 2:00PM.

The Midwest iHemp Expo is also happening this weekend. Rachel will be doing hempcrete demonstrations in the Illinois Hemp Growers Association booth all day Friday the 10th and Saturday the 11th of January, 2020.
